26 weeks

How far along? 26 Weeks-January 19
Baby is the size of a: a cucumber
Total weight gain/loss: 14 pounds… It seems to be rising quickly.
Maternity clothes? Yes (I even got some for my birthday) mixed in with my sweatpant work attire.
Stretch marks? None yet… Thank goodness.
Sleep: Depends on the night. Some nights are good and some are not-so-good.  I am just so thankful that we splurged on a new bed a few months ago… I am not sure I would make it through the night with our old furniture.
Miss Anything? Nothing besides feeling like myself…  I miss having energy, being comfortable in my clothes, being able to stand up from the floor, and not being sore just from sleeping.  Mostly I miss ALL of the things that I took for granted before I was pregnant!
Movement: All the time!  Mostly at night when I am trying to sleep and first thing in the morning.  She even woke me up a couple times this week from her gymnastics moves.
Food cravings: nothing major… still just soda and sweets.  I stopped myself from making a cake with chocolate frosting because I knew it would be gone before Dan got home. (I don’t even like chocolate frosting)  AND I know that the red velvet cake that I will be making this weekend and the Icee’s at the movies will be plenty of sweets for me.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still heartburn… Who knew heartburn could make you so sick.  No food though… I can’t get enough food.
The Bump: Still getting bigger and bigger everyday!  I can’t imagine 3 more months of getting bigger. Eeks!
Gender: Girl!
Picking out a name: Dan decided on a name… but it is still in discussion.  A first, middle, and last name with 23 letters might be a little long for our poor baby to learn.
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In… And hoping that is normal… It has not even become shallow, at all.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY! mixed in with some crazy, grumpiness.
Best moment this week: Celebrating my birthday with the family.  I miss Maryland and my time alone with Dan, but I would not trade the special moments with my family for the world.  I also had another quilting class with my mom, which was so much fun :)
Looking forward to:  Settling into the house and decorating the nursery.  I am also excited to take maternity pictures with Shaula!  I am so lucky to have a friend to share this experience with at the same time.
